Survey over uit het uitvoeren van manuele therapie van de thoracale wervelkolom24 okt 2018
Study investigating ‘orthopaedic manipulative physical therapy in the thoracic spine’
The survey has been designed to gather data to gain an understanding of current clinical practice in thoracic thrust joint manipulation (TJM) across all IFOMPT Member Organisations and Registered Interest Groups. Findings from the pilot study (accepted for publication in JMMT, Sept 2018) which was completed in the UK concluded that physiotherapists have good knowledge of contraindications, precautions for thoracic manipulative thrust techniques, although <50% utilise pre-manipulative examination & 45% perceive the primary effect to be biomechanical in nature; important findings for the profession concerning EBP and knowledge translation.
The study is endorsed by IFOMPT, and the survey designed and developed by experts in the field to gather data on current knowledge and understanding of thoracic TJM worldwide.
